What are Meta Tags and important Meta Tags for SEO?


What is Meta Tags?


Meta Tags is considered as the most basic element in SEO. It is an important factor for Google Page Rank.Meta Tags should be placed inside the <head></head> tag of the html page of your website
There are three important Meta Tags are need to be implemented in every page of your website.

HTML Meta Tags
  1. Title

  • Put unique title at every page of your website
  • Use primary keyword phrase in every page title
  • Title of your home page should begin with primary keyword phrase followed by your best secondary keyword phrase
  • Include your company name at the end of the title
  • Do not repeat keywords 2 or 3 times in the title
  • Tite must be related to that content of the page
  • Title character limit

2. Meta Description

  •       Include Keywords in Meta Description Tag
  •       Every Page should have unique Meta description
  •       Do not repeat keywords more often in Meta Description but try to use multiple syntaxes of your keywords
  •       Write unique keyword description related to that content of the page
  •       Meta Description Character Limit

      3. Meta Keywords


  • Use synonyms of keywords
  • Use unique keywords
  • You can use different keyword phrase related to that page
  • Keyword character limit -1000 characters or 45 words

4.Robots Meta Tag

<meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow">
By including this tag in your website which will instruct the spider not to crawl some of your indexed WebPages or do not want your links followed.
